Hi, I’m Juliette!
I’m a watercolor artist who spent the last four years living in Vermont and am now based in New York pursuing a degree in clinical social work.
I first discovered watercolor after a friend suggested I buy a set while I was traveling through Europe, and I quickly fell in love. It has been in Vermont, however, that I have found my greatest inspiration. Vermont has been a sanctuary for me. Its natural beauty and calm energy gave me the space to discover a new kind of creativity and changed the way I experience the world. It taught me to slow down and find joy in the beauty that surrounds us every day.
Now I notice tiny flowers growing through cracks in the sidewalk, the intricate colors of produce at the farmers market, and the subtle details of plants I might have once looked past. A walk through the woods has become a practice of noticing, and painting feels like an act of gratitude. When I recreate a flower, an insect, or a berry, I become transfixed by their hard and soft lines and their layers of color. My paintings are based on what I see, and that’s why you may sometimes notice a bent stem, an uneven petal, or another small imperfection. Those details are part of what makes the natural world so beautiful to me. The process of painting is meditative, grounding, and deeply joyful.
My hope is that my paintings help you see the world the way they’ve taught me to. To slow down, notice, and feel a deeper appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us.
Thank you so much for being here. Don’t hesitate to reach out, I’d love to connect!
